Okay, so I was scrolling through tech news as usual, and BAM! ShopSystem drops these iPhone 16 dummy models, and I’m freaking out a little bit. First of all, the MagSafe ring on the back is noticeably thinner compared to my current iPhone 15 Pro. Like, way thinner. And the diameter is smaller too. This has gotta mean Apple’s getting serious about slimmer designs, but also making MagSafe more efficient. Imagine if they actually bump up the wireless charging speed to 20W! That would be a game changer.
But hold on, there’s more! The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus ditch that diagonal camera layout we’ve been seeing since the iPhone 11. Now it’s just a clean, vertical setup with the two lenses. Apparently, this is to accommodate spatial video recording, so the main camera and the ultrawide are on the same horizontal plane when you’re holding the phone sideways. Makes sense, I guess, but it’s a pretty bold move from Apple to completely change the aesthetic.
Now, I know there were rumors about the Pro models getting a triangle camera module, but thankfully, these dummies show the Pro and Pro Max sticking with the current design. No complaints here, I think it looks great as it is. Overall, I’m super hyped about these little changes. Apple’s attention to detail is what keeps me coming back, and it seems like the iPhone 16 is shaping up to be another winner.
