So, Apple went ahead and did it again. They dropped a shiny new iPad Pro, complete with the M4 chip and a fancy AMOLED display. It all sounds pretty impressive, especially with the talk about it being the thinnest iPad ever. But then you see the price tag – upwards of two grand! Honestly, it made me wonder, how many people are actually willing to shell out that much for a tablet?

I mean, I love my tech, but there’s a limit. I’m sure there are plenty of folks out there with money to burn, but for the average Joe, that’s a significant chunk of change. TrendForce seems to agree with me on this one. They’re predicting that this year’s AMOLED iPad Pro shipments will be somewhere between 4.5 and 5 million units. That’s a lot of iPads, sure, but it also suggests that the market for high-end tablets might be shrinking.

But hey, let’s be real. A new iPad is still a big deal, and the fact that they’re using AMOLED now is kind of a game changer for tablets. That tech has always been awesome for phones, so I’m excited to see what it can do on a bigger screen. It’s definitely a step towards the future of tablet tech.

Overall, I’m torn. Part of me thinks the new iPad Pro is too expensive for what it is, especially since most people use their iPads for pretty basic stuff. But another part of me is super curious to see what that AMOLED screen is like in person. Maybe it’s worth the hype, maybe it’s not. Guess we’ll have to wait and see how it all plays out.
