So, I’ve been following the electric car scene for a while now, and let me tell you, the buzz around NIO’s new sub-brand, Leapmotor, is insane! There have been some leaks about their first car, the L60, and if even half of it is true, we’re looking at a real disruptor.

Think about it: a sporty coupe design for better aerodynamics, two battery options (60 kWh and 90 kWh), and that super-efficient 900V platform. Rumor has it that this thing sips power like a hummingbird, with an energy consumption rate that beats even the Tesla Model Y! We’re talking potentially under 13 kWh per 100 km – that’s game-changing efficiency.

And it’s not just about saving on electricity. The L60 is apparently going for a comfortable ride with its suspension setup, which is perfect for families. And from the spy shots, the backseat looks spacious too.

Inside, word on the street is that it’s getting the same giant horizontal screen as the ET9, powered by the Snapdragon 8295 chip. Even though it’s a sub-brand, they’re not skimping on the interior – apparently the quality is top notch, almost on par with NIO’s main lineup. Oh, and you can even power stuff from the car’s battery with an AC outlet.

The biggest shocker? The price. The rumors suggest a starting price of 229,900 yuan, but if you go with the battery rental option, it could plummet to just 170,000 yuan! That puts it squarely in the under 200,000 yuan segment, which is unheard of for a car this loaded.

From what I’ve heard, NIO is incredibly confident about this car. They’re apparently stocking up on parts like crazy and aiming for a whopping 20,000 sales per month! If they can pull it off, the L60 could be the next big hit in the EV market. I’m really excited to see this thing in action.
