Okay, seriously, why is Apple still dragging their feet on fast charging? It’s been driving me crazy, especially since the Samsung vs. Apple charging speed debate blew up online again! I mean, I love my iPhone, but watching that little charging bar crawl along at a snail’s pace is just painful. I’ve read a bunch of tech articles about it, and it seems like Apple is super focused on making sure our batteries last as long as possible. Apparently, they believe that using slower charging speeds helps keep the battery healthy over time. I get that, I really do. Nobody wants a phone that dies after a year, right? But come on, Apple! We’re in a world of instant gratification. I need my phone juiced up and ready to go, like, yesterday. And honestly, I’d rather have a phone with a slightly shorter lifespan that charges super-fast than one that takes forever to charge but lasts a bit longer. The tech articles also mentioned something about heat being a problem. It seems that smaller phones have a tougher time dissipating heat generated by fast charging. That makes sense, I guess. My iPhone does get pretty warm sometimes when I’m playing games or using a lot of apps. Maybe Apple is just playing it safe, making sure our phones don’t burst into flames while charging at warp speed. And who knows, maybe Apple is secretly working on some revolutionary new battery technology that will blow our minds and make fast charging a non-issue. I’m holding out hope! Until then, I guess I’ll just have to keep a charger handy and practice my patience.
