Okay guys, I have to share this – I just got back from HUAWEI’s launch event, and let me tell you, the new MateBook X Pro is something else! They had me at “Intel Core Ultra 9 processor” to be honest. As someone who spends way too much time editing videos and multitasking, the promise of that kind of power in such a sleek, lightweight machine had me hooked.

First off, the design is stunning. It’s super thin and light – like, seriously light, only 980g. I was holding it thinking, is this thing even real? It feels incredibly premium with its magnesium alloy body, and I’m a big fan of the Morandi Blue color they showed off.

But let’s talk about the screen because that’s what really blew me away. It’s a 14.2-inch OLED display with a crazy-sharp 3120×2080 resolution, and it’s a 120Hz refresh rate! Scrolling through websites and even just moving windows around feels unbelievably smooth. The colors are vibrant, the blacks are deep, and the whole thing is just incredibly immersive. They said it has something called “3D立体超材料天线” which, honestly, I don’t fully understand, but it sounds cool, right?

And then there’s the performance. This thing packs an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, the top-of-the-line model. They were talking about how the graphics performance has doubled compared to the previous generation, and it can handle up to 40W of power. I can’t wait to put it through its paces with some heavy-duty video editing, but based on what I saw at the event, I have a feeling it’s going to handle anything I throw at it.

They also highlighted some new features that are going to be a game-changer for my workflow. The Super Turbo thing they mentioned is all about making everything faster, from booting up to exporting videos. Imagine opening your laptop and being on your desktop in 9 seconds! That’s going to save me so much time.

Honestly, I’m super impressed with what I’ve seen so far. The MateBook X Pro looks like it’s going to be an absolute beast of a machine, perfect for creatives and professionals who demand the best. The starting price of RM8999 for the Core Ultra 7 model seems pretty reasonable for what you’re getting, and the Core Ultra 9 model comes in at RM10,999.

I’ll be putting the MateBook X Pro through its paces over the next few weeks, so make sure you follow our WhatsApp channel, TikTok, and Instagram for more in-depth reviews and unboxing videos! Can’t wait to share more about this amazing laptop with you guys.

What do you think of the new MateBook X Pro? Let me know in the comments!
