So, the Huawei Pura 70 series finally dropped in Malaysia, and I’ve been glued to the news. The Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro, and Pura 70 Ultra are all here, but no sign of the Pro+ yet. The prices are pretty interesting – 3699 Malaysian Ringgit for the Pura 70 (that’s about 5618 yuan, which is a decent deal), 4899 Ringgit for the Pura 70 Pro, and a hefty 6599 Ringgit for the top-of-the-line Ultra. What really caught my eye, though, was the processor reveal. We finally get to see what these phones are packing under the hood. The Pura 70 and 70 Pro rock the Kirin 9010, while the Ultra boasts the Kirin 9000S1. It’s the same setup as the Chinese versions, so no surprises there.
You know, I’ve been following the Kirin processors for a while, and the specs on these new ones are intriguing. The Kirin 9010 has a 12-core CPU with a mix of high-performance and energy-efficient cores. I’m curious to see how it handles demanding games and multitasking. The Kirin 9000S1 seems like a slightly tweaked version of the 9000S, which I’ve heard good things about. And of course, both processors feature the Maleoon 910 GPU – I’m hoping for some smooth graphics and immersive gaming experiences. From what I’ve gathered, the Kirin 9010 has a lower clock speed on the main cores compared to the 9000S and 9000S1, but the middle and smaller cores have gotten a boost. Supposedly, this means better overall performance than the 9000S, with the bonus of increased energy efficiency and lower power consumption. If that’s true, it’s a smart move by Huawei.
Besides the processors, the Malaysian Pura 70 series is pretty much identical to the Chinese versions. They’re all running EMUI 14.2, and the other specs seem to be on par. I’m excited to see how these phones perform in real-world use. I’m especially interested in the camera capabilities, as the Pura series is known for its photography prowess. I’m hoping for some stunning shots with the Ultra’s rumored periscope zoom lens. Overall, the global launch of the Pura 70 series has got me buzzing. The Kirin 9010 reveal was a long time coming, and I’m eager to see how it stacks up against the competition. Huawei always seems to push the boundaries with their technology, and I’m sure this series will be no different. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a global release soon, because I’m definitely tempted to get my hands on one of these phones.
