Okay, so I’m a big fan of Xiao Yang Ge, like, who isn’t, right? So when I heard he was involved in this massive music festival in Hefei, I was *there*. Bought my ticket, hyped myself up for days, even convinced my bestie to come along. We get there, and the vibe is actually pretty amazing. Music’s pumping, everyone’s in a good mood, we’re having a blast. Then thirst hits. We head over to a stall, ready to shell out a few bucks for some water, because, you know, festivals. But the guy tells us it’s 20 yuan! For a bottle of WATER! My jaw literally dropped. I thought he was kidding, but nope. 20 yuan. And it wasn’t just water. Everything was crazy expensive! Like, 28 for a Red Bull?! Who can even afford to stay hydrated at these prices?! My friend and I were so bummed. It felt like we were being totally ripped off. We ended up leaving early because we didn’t want to spend a fortune on basic stuff. It just left a bad taste in our mouths. I mean, I get that festivals are expensive, but this felt like straight-up price gouging. It’s not like we’re at Coachella or something! It’s just sad, you know? The whole point of a music festival is to have fun and enjoy the music, but it’s hard to do that when you’re constantly worried about being ripped off. And honestly, it kind of tarnishes Xiao Yang Ge’s image for me. Like, dude, you’re a huge star, you don’t need to make money off of overpriced water bottles. It just feels greedy. I’m not the only one who feels this way either. Tons of people online are complaining about the prices, and it’s even made the news. Hopefully, someone does something about it, because it’s just not right.
