Okay, so Apple just dropped their new iPad lineup, and I’m having some serious feelings about it. Let’s just say my wallet is hiding in the corner right now.
First of all, the new M4 iPad Pros are seriously powerful beasts. Like, ridiculously powerful. I’m talking 2TB of storage, people! But those prices, though… that top-spec 13-inch Pro with all the bells and whistles is pushing 20,000 yuan! My jaw literally dropped when I saw that.
I get it, it’s the best of the best, and you’re paying for that cutting-edge tech. But it’s still a tough pill to swallow. I was really hoping they’d keep the starting price a bit more reasonable, especially with the new iPad Air M2 also in the mix. That one’s a bit easier on the wallet, but still, not exactly cheap.
And don’t even get me started on the new Apple Pencil Pro! 999 yuan? It better be able to draw masterpieces on its own for that price! It’s like Apple’s decided everything needs to be “Pro” now, and our bank accounts are feeling the pressure.
Look, I’m all for innovation and pushing boundaries, but sometimes I just want an iPad that won’t break the bank. Maybe I’m just getting old, but I remember when you could get a decent tablet without having to remortgage your house.
Maybe I’ll just stick with my old iPad for now and cry softly into my cup of instant noodles. At least those are still affordable. 😅
