So, I was scrolling through Twitter the other day, and I saw this news that Nintendo is dropping Twitter sharing for the Switch. Like, what?! Seriously, Twitter is my go-to for sharing those epic wins or hilarious fails. It’s where I connect with other gamers and just rant about the latest game updates.

Honestly, I’m pretty bummed about this whole thing. I get why they’re doing it – Elon Musk is charging companies an arm and a leg for API access. I guess Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft just said, “Nope, not paying that.” I respect that, but it still sucks for us gamers.

I mean, I can still save my screenshots and videos to my phone and then share them on Twitter. It’s just more steps, you know? I’m all about convenience, and this just adds an extra layer of hassle.

The good news is, the X Gaming account said our community is one of the biggest and best on the platform, and they’re still committed to supporting games. I appreciate that, but I hope they can convince Nintendo to reconsider. Sharing straight from the Switch is just so much smoother.

Until then, I guess I’ll be doing the whole download-and-upload dance. It’s not the end of the world, but it’s definitely a bummer. I just hope other platforms don’t follow suit. Fingers crossed this doesn’t become a trend!
