Guys, you won’t believe what happened to me! I was so close to getting scammed by a fake Chery Facebook page. I was looking for some good deals on a new car, and I stumbled across this page called “Chery Klang Botanic – DS. Hanantaa.” They were offering crazy discounts, like RM5,000 off! I was practically drooling, thinking I’d found the deal of the century.

They even had a contact number and what looked like a legitimate Chery dealership address. It all seemed so convincing, and I was ready to hand over my personal details and deposit. Thankfully, something just felt off. Maybe it was the overly enthusiastic tone, or the unbelievable discounts. So I did a little digging.

Turns out, Chery Malaysia had issued a warning about this exact page! Apparently, some scammers were posing as Chery sales advisors, using this fake page to trick people into giving them their hard-earned money. Can you believe it? They were preying on excited car buyers like me.

I was so relieved that I caught it in time. It’s scary how sophisticated these scams are getting. I learned my lesson – always double-check, verify, and be extra cautious when dealing with online deals, especially those that seem too good to be true.

Chery Malaysia has been pretty proactive about warning people. They even recommend following their official WhatsApp, TikTok, and Instagram channels for updates and news. It’s a good reminder to stick to official channels when looking for information.

So, if you’re thinking about buying a Chery, be careful out there! Don’t fall for these fake pages and dodgy deals. Stick to authorized dealers and always verify the information before you give out your personal details or any money. You don’t want to end up like I almost did – scammed and car-less!
