I don’t know about you guys, but I’m getting a little impatient waiting for Apple to finally ditch the Dynamic Island and go all-in on under-display Face ID. I mean, come on! It feels like we’ve been hearing rumors about this forever, and now the latest reports are saying it won’t happen until 2026? That’s like two whole iPhone generations away! Honestly, I thought the iPhone 16 was going to be the one. I was so ready to finally have a truly all-screen experience without any notches or cutouts. But nope, looks like we’re stuck with the Dynamic Island on this year’s models and probably next year’s too. Don’t get me wrong, the Dynamic Island is kind of cool, and Apple has done a good job integrating it into the software. But it’s still a compromise, you know? It’s like a little reminder that there’s still some tech standing between us and a truly seamless display.I know some people are into the whole punch-hole camera thing, but personally, I’m not a fan. It just feels like another distraction on the screen. I want my iPhone display to be as clean and unobstructed as possible. And that means hiding *everything* under the display, including the camera. The good news is that it sounds like Apple is working on that too, and we might see it alongside the under-display Face ID in the iPhone 18 Pro. Now that’s something I can get excited about! I can already imagine it: a sleek, futuristic iPhone with a completely uninterrupted display. No notches, no cutouts, just pure screen real estate. It’ll be the ultimate iPhone design, and I’m willing to wait a couple more years to get it. So yeah, I guess I’ll be holding off on upgrading for now. The iPhone 18 Pro sounds like it’s going to be worth the wait. And who knows, maybe by then Apple will have come up with even more innovative features that we can’t even imagine yet!
